Baby Trivia
All you need to do for this game is make a list of baby trivia questions. As always the person with the most correct answers at the end wins.
Variations of this game include pregnancy questions, pregnancy myths and truths, and celebrity baby trivia.
e.g. How many weeks is a normal pregnancy?
Standing on your head after sex can increase your chances of becoming pregnant?
Who is the Mother of Celebrity Baby “Apple”?
Baby Shopping Spree
This is a great game to play for those that think themselves budget savvy. For this game you need pens and paper, and a calculator. Make a list of baby items for each guest, as well as another list for yourself that has the prices of each of the listed items. If you can get hold of some pictures from a magazine you can cut them out and paste them on a giant poster for guests to view and shop from. Try getting a Baby’s Galore or Baby’s Shopping Magazine for inspiration.
Let each guest know how much they have to spend. If you like you can base it on the current baby bonus rate of $5,000.
Basically each guest lists items on their shopping list and the person that spends closest to the $5000 wins. Anyone that goes over the $5000 is instantly disqualified.
A variation of this game could include listing items from cheapest to most expensive.
Some examples may include:
· Fertile Mind Nursing Pillow
· Grobag Nursery Thermometer
· Tetra Snuggle Bed

Baby Animals
Make a list of animals in one column and a list of their babies in the other. Make sure that the list is not in order. Photocopy enough copies for each guest. Basically people need to match the animal to the baby, e.g. Pig to piglet. The person with the most correct answers wins.
Baby Bottle Race
Put Juice, or for a bit more fun, champagne and OJ in a couple of baby bottles and race to see who can finish first.
Baby Bingo
Baby Bingo is played like any normal game of bingo. Each guest is given a printed card or paper with a list of baby related words. As each word is called out, the guests cross the words of their card. The first person to cross off all their words calls “Baby Bingo” and wins the game. You can make the game simpler by having the winner be the first person to cross off all their words in a row, i.e. horizontally or vertically.
Words you can use:
· Nappy
· Stroller
· Cot
· Dummy
· High Chair
Baby Shower Memory Game
This game is simply an old fashioned memory game. All you need is a large tray, a tea towel and some baby products. Give your guest a pen and paper, and then give them one minute to look at the tray before you cover it up. The guests then have a set time, say 3 minutes to write down as many items as they can remember. The person who remembers the most wins.
A variation could include losing a point for listing an item not on the tray.
A few items you could include on the tray are:
Cotton Buds, Bib, Talcum Powder, Disposable Nappy, Dummy, Nappy Rash Cream, Face Washer, Baby Scissors, Thermometer, Baby Bottle, Baby Toys or Breast Pads.
Guess the Baby
This is another old fashioned guessing game. It does require a bit of preparation but can be lots of fun on the day. Basically the host need to collect baby photos from each guest.
The photos are then placed on a piece of cardboard and numbered (just be very careful with how you handle old photos). Each guest must write down who they think each baby is. The person with the most correct answers wins.
Baby Pictionary/Charades
Split your guests in two or more teams and give them some paper and pencils.
When you call out a word the designated drawer must try to draw the item, without using any words or hand gestures. The first team to guess the item wins.
A variation could be good old fashioned charades, where one person is given a word and they have to try and act it out, without speaking. Again the team that guesses first wins.
Some word you could use include:
· baby
· baby shower
· twins
· bottle
· dummy
· breastfeed
· nappy change
· dummy
· breast pump
· toilet training
· pram
· colic
· baby formula
· nappy rash
· baby bath
Name Game
Give each guest a piece of paper with a column listing A-Z. Give your guests a set period of time; say 5 minutes to list a name against each letter. You get one point for each one answered, and two points if no one else has the same name as you. To make it tougher you could have no celebrity names such as Apple, only boys or girl’s names, or only names that appear in your own copy of a baby names book.
Baby’s first piggy bank
When your guests arrive give them each a new name such as a cartoon character or baby item. To make things easier you can supply name tags. Basically the game is quite simple, every time someone calls another guest by their real name they have to put a set amount in the piggy bank. Say 50 cents or a dollar.
A variation could include picking taboo words that can’t be said such as ‘baby’ or ‘labour’.
Pass the Dirty Nappy Game
For a variation on the old child favourite game pass the parcel, you need to get a chocolate bar, a disposable nappy and a CD player or Ipod. Place the chocolate bar in the nappy and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds so it begins to melt.
Get all your friends to sit in a circle, show them the dirty nappy and explain the rules. Basically your friends need to pass the dirty nappy as the music plays. When the music stops whoever has the nappy is out. The last person still in the circle at the end of the game wins.
How well do you know the Mum-to-be?
Make a list of questions about the mum-to- be. Questions could be things such as her favourite actor, home town, her first boyfriend. The person with the most correct answers wins.
Make-a-Baby-game
If you and your girlfriends are scrap bookers or enjoy arts and crafts then this game will appeal to you.
Basically the idea is simple; you just need to get together some craft supplies, such as cardboard, glue, textas, old magazines, scraps of material, glitter. Whatever you like. Each guest makes their
